Keep Squirrels away from your bulbs

They are cute, but can destroy your bulb garden in one day, to keep squirrels away from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn’t hurt the plant and the squirrels won’t come near it

Mitigate mildew from flowers & vegetable plants

To eliminate mildew from flowers and vegetable plants create a mixture of:

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 tablespoon liquid soap (adds insecticidal qualities)

1 gallon of water

Find a gallon jug fill with water, and add baking soda and soap. Screw on the top and shake vigorously to blend.  Pour into a spray bottle and spray on mildew

Remove mold from terra cotta pots

Spring is here and planting season is about to start to start,  it is time to pull out the terra cotta pots and get them ready for planting, terra cotta sometimes gets mold from previous season so the easiest way to clean them up is by soaking them in in a solution of 1 cup white distilled vinegar, 1 cup chlorine bleach, and 1 gallon of warm water before scrubbing with a steel wool pad.
